I don't see myself getting tired of these

The events of the past few days

Well this will be another mouthful as the events of the past few days have once again been in their usual Dawson's creek fashion.

Thursday, was Skimpy's convocation and after getting a butt load of work done, her FlippyDan and I all went out to dinner at Curry Original. The meal itself was fantastic. I have not had good indian food in a while and it was a nice treat to have something so delicious. Overall it was definately A.

After dinner, we caught up with Jumpy at the Nog and had quite a few pints. We also did some kareoke which was quite a bit of fun. FlippyDan sang Jeremy and then the three of us sang a remixed version of American Pie. I don't know how everyone's eardrums didn't burst as it must have been terrible to listen to. Skimpy and I finished off with like a prayer which saw my voice crack almost a dozen times trying to do Madonna. Twice, during the course of the night, creepy guys jumped up on the stage to sing with us because they were hot for Skimpy. That wasn't cool by any means as it cramped on the fun. C'est la vie.

At some point that night, the Bop showed up randomly to see FlippyDan and bought us all a round of drinks which was totally awesome of him. But as quickly as he showed up, he left which was mysterious.

We headed to Stages at that point for a little bit of jammin in the name of the lord. It was wicked sweet to just jam with some dancers for the course of the night as I'm usually with the K-town boyz at Stages, most of whom don't dance very much. And so the pure sweet dance of it all was wicked. Oddly enough though, the same creepy guys that were hitting on Skimpy at the Nog found their way to Stages and managed their way over to us again. Weird. I think FlippyDan was ready to burst about it though. Thankfully he didn't.

Came back that night and had some cake and went to bed. The next morning we got up quite late and after a lot of slow movement, we headed out to the Epicure for breakfast. They need a larger breakfast selection on their menu as I was not sufficiently filled.

After bidding adieu to the two of them, I spent the rest of the day getting ready for boot camp!!! BPIC and Jumpy arrived here about 530 or so to get me and then we headed off to the beer store. In my mastery of art buying talent, we managed to get 42 beers into our possession for $54. After that, we loaded ourself up with delicious Wendy's and headed off for Kinmount.

We ended up getting lost about three of four times because we were following our own little mystery route but each time our natural senses lead us back to the right course without too much lost time.

BPIC's knee was hurting him and so I drove for about an hour or so. BPIC at that moment decided to waste no time and decided to light up with Jumpy. This sucked... a lot... to just have to sit there and watch them blaze up while I needed to be responsible. Poop.

We eventually arrived and after pitching shop, we headed out to the fire to drink and be merry. And merry we got, so much so that the next morning was terrible. All that aside, we ended up watching jitsu videos, eating cookies and drinking lots of beers. Good times all around. The night itself was freezing and I was glad to have a winter sleeping bag otherwise I would have transformed into a brown popsicle.

While in the rot of feeling terrible the next morning, I was christened T-Boneo (in an australian accent) and was given a background which consisted of me being found in the bush and being taught to speak and train. Even in my pain, I laughed at this as it was tres comical. Seven and a half minutes later, I chundered. The good, the bad and the ugly.

Thankfully, I felt much better after that and got some good training in. The bad weather stayed away and we were able to get a good amount of rough housing in there. When training finished up, another night began which eventually led to hanging around the fire. This night, I behaved a little bit more and just did a bit of story telling and comedy skit reinacting (sp?). The night concluded and once I again, I slept in the cold tent but was smarter this time and had a few more ways to stay warm lined up.

We finished the next morning with some weapons stuff then packed up shop and headed home. The ride home was pretty chill with a few open forum chats and farting. Blame the farting on chili the previous night, sausages for lunch and then taco bell for dinner. But it was all guys so we were cool with it. We rode into the sunset just like cowboys and in the end, it was good to know that the one of the last road trips with Jumpy was memorable.

While on the subject, I would like to take this time to acknowledge Jumpy since he'll be leaving the scene for a while. I'm going to address him without his alias to pay proper tribute.

I met Stu about three years ago when he promptly burst onto the jitsu scene as one of the proverbial keeners from the novice group. He was always one of the visible faces who was laughing and willing to spend his time making people laugh. One of my favourite memories of Mr. Dan was the day he learned Peg Legs and proceeded to do them that night into every snow bank he saw that night. He was crazy from day one and fit into our community perfectly.

Now, I'm not going to just rant on about all of the good times because there are too many and I'm sure Stu would like that too much. Instead, I'd just like to tell the world what I told BPIC after we dropped him off yesterday which is that in the face of events which would have seen many act selfishly with hate and anger, Stu choose a high road of sincerity and forgiveness.

It's no secret to most of the crazy love triangle that existed last year and most people in his situation would have likely just stopped talking to the guy who kept interferring with his relationship. But to his credit, he never let it overcome his actions and instead chose the higher road and treat me with the same courtesy which he gave everyone else.

I have said it many times that I am fortunate to have known some fantastic people in my life and Stu Cooke is certainly one of those people. At his very essence he was and is just, sincere and honest with everyone around him and I am glad to have been able to know him and wish him the best in the future.

Oh bananas, Oh bananas, Oh bananas!!!

Well, after a delicious breakfast of pancakes, eggs, steak and coffee, it means it's time to post about the absolute insanity which has been the past few days.

Star Wars dominated me on wednesday and although it was a pretty sweet deal, I paid for it the next day. I went to class the next day with only four hours of sleep under my belt and with every ounce of energy that I had, made it through the half day of class and lab work that followed after that. Upon arriving home I immediately crashed and napped for a good while.

We went to the RCHA that night for McM's father's b-day. I was so out of it that night. After about two pints I was drunk and after McM's dad ordered us pizza, I just sat and ate without saying a word. At some point in the night, I feathered a punch towards McM's sack because he was sticking it in my face and because he was too drunk to realize how fast he was moving, it made contact. Lesson to be learned; Do not stick your crocth in my face while saying 'suck on that'.

After a good sleep that night, I used the friday to take care of things. Laundry and groceries and what not. J-Bun got in late that night so instead of patio beers with BPIC, we just watched a Million Dollar Baby. After polishing off a bottle of wine in the first half, we decided to just forget about the second half and find something else to do.

So needless to say, I was tired to the next morning for the third time in three weeks. But I was still quite jacked because we were gonna have the BBQ! After making J-Bun breakfast, I went out to find items for making a potato salad. Overall the salad wasn't that bad but wasn't to die for. At sixish, people started showing up with various items to BBQ along with various other snacks and beers. Our beer fridge was filled to the nuts!

Things were going well for the most part but McM and I ran into a dish crises due to some small poor planning. So halfway through the BBQ phase of the night, we did an emergency run of dishes so people had things to eat on.

So much meat was BBQ'd yesterday, we could have fed a small army. There was food everywhere and all of it was delicious. At some point during the BBQ, the Charlestown lake girls showed up! It was unbelievable. I couldn't figure out how or what keeps leading them to events that we host. The strangest thing is that they just BBQ'd their stuff and just sat around for the rest of the night. Weird.

Fish showed up at some point during the night which was slightly unexpected on my watch. The strange thing was that it felt exactly like the last time I saw Sparxx where it was nice to have her around, but things had just settled so far away from where they use to be. Overall it was just odd.

I soon settled back into my crazy ways though after taking part of one of BPICs magic shows. I was pretty rocked after this and so were many others including BPICgal and J-Bun.

Beirut started up and everything progressed up and down following that. Throughout the course of this, food was slung around and many, many drinks were consumed. Jumpy, Giles and I went to a concert later to join up with BPIC(gal) and J-Bun at a friend's concert. That was awesome. Mrs. Gora is gonna make it big one day beucase she has a wonderful voice.

When we returned home, it looked like a bomb had gone off. The Weekes sisters were down and out for the count and their was food all over the place. There were some randoms playing guitar on our porch. I didn't want to have to deal with any of it so I just retired to bed at that point shutting the door behind me.

Cleaning up this morning took about an hour. After four phases of dishwashing, some heavy wiping, crazy story telling from housemates and a heavy duty vacuuming, the house was somewhat decent again. Overall, it was certainly a very crazy night.

Another Sunday down

So as the last entry, I left you everyone a little diddy about a pretty sweet weekend. The days following that were filled with the usual school and random nothings that I usually do. I watched a lot of lost, went to the gym and did a lot of running.

Over the course of wednesday and saturday we shot a bunch of Jitsu video for the Jitsumercial Jumpy is putting together for one of the instructors in South Carolina. This was a hell of a lot of fun because, we were just putting to together a lot of flashy Jitsu stuff and realy getting into talking about the nature of what we do. I'm excited to see the final product as well as get my hands on all of the cool footage we got.

It was nice to see Thumper again. I havn't seen that guy in about a month now but naturally we didn't miss a step and were up to our old tricks. I got to hear about his engagement which was a nice little treat.

Last night was a whole lot of fun as it saw the return of Dr. Fin and Frenchmabob! I havn't seen those guys since the new year and it was wicked sweet to have them back. After hanging out at the house for a while with McM's warchief for her birthday we went out to the BrewPub for scotches and just shot the shit like the good old days. I'm glad some things never change because it's the small things like that are the best things in life.

I am quite proud of McM's conduct in the past few weeks as, even though he's done some silly silly things, he is attempting to rectify them and in turn handle himself in a more distinguished manner. It's a good things he's got a good role model in myself. Now if I could only get him to be a bit tidier.

This weekend is a pure party weekend leading into the 2-4!. For one, there is no test this week! Weeeeeeeeeeeeee! Monday, Je-Pat is up and he wants to hit up the beach slam! Wednesday night Jumpy, BPIC and myslef are hitting up the midnight premiere of Episode III. Then starting friday, it's the 2-4 weekend with Dr. Fin, J-Bun and the usual posse! I am thinking that we might have a BBQ here at the 4-3-9.

Finally, after what seems like four months, on and off, the storm has finally quieted down. In moving the metaphor, it feels like I'm surveynig the reckage and seeing what can be salvaged and what's not worth it anymore. Only time will tell.

Closing thoughts:
- New Family Guy tonight!
- It's nice when there are constants in your life to pick you up when you're down.
- I'm pretty lucky to have known the people I've known
- This weekend is gonna be sweet!
- I got that Jitsu beat back in my heart again and it ticks and tocks for some bouncing!
- Thinkin of giving up the magic tricks for a little bit. Heard a story last night that didn't sit well with me.
- "And if you never stop when you wave goodbye. You just might find if you give it time, You will wave hello again... You just might wave hello again"

A sweet ass weekend

Well, I was waiting for the appropriate moment to write about the wickedly sweet time I had this weekend and based on the news I've just recieved, I think it's time to make that entry. Before moving on to that though I should start at the beginning of the weekend.

Friday was pretty tame. I was pretty sick of social nonsense at that point and tired of studying for tests as well so I decided to do dick fuck all. I came home, vegged out for a while, watched about three episodes of lost, ate and then watched three more episodes of lost. After that, I decided that I was going to do a bit of shopping for the BBQ the next day (when J-Bun was comming!!!). I've missed J-Bun since she left and I think she was a little down after leaving Kingston, so I wanted to do a little extra. So for the BBQ, I got her a little Aquafina citrus and some other items which will come up later in the story. After that, it was lazy time but before turning in, I watched another episode of lost. Seven episodes overall.

Saturday I arose to a gorgeous day. I decided to go running which proved to be not the best idea as I was dehydrated from not taking care of myself the day before. Thus towards the end of my sprinting sessions, I bottomed out. Thankfully that would be the worst part of my day. I came home to delicious Eggs and Bacon which McM had kindly made for me and topped it off with fruit and cereal. From there I tried to convince McM to go to future shop to buy a copy of phantom (which is a sweet movie) but he was getting ready for a boat cruise. Thus, I asked BPIC if he was interested in going and he was happy to partake since he was going out anyways.

Later, we would get to future shop and I would end up getting phantom as well as Simpsons season 4 and 5. After that we went groceries for some BBQ items and then went to homes to shower and such. After preparing a delicious salad and showering, J-Bun, BPIC and BPICgal arrived. BPIC brought venison steaks and boar sausage patties while BPICgal brought a pasta salad. I made a delicious greek salad while J-Bun brought delicious fruit and berries. The overall sum of everything was delicious. Big GentleG ended up joining us for a while as we stuffed our faces. BPIC would end up showing us some more magic tricks before and after dinner so needless to say, by the end, we were full and very happy.

We cleaned up a little and settled in for beers and the simpsons. During the course of simpsons mania, we dominated nachos and salsa even though we were full from steaks and Lockburgers (Boar patties). Following the simpsons, it was phantom time which took us into the end of the night. Overall, a very sweet night which saw us all dominated by food and smiles.

Yesterday (sunday) I worked a little, help BPIC put of flyers and then watched some TV with the gang a little while later. Nothing major.

The best news about the weekend came today though when I recieved news that my instructor has FINALLY gotten engaged to be married with his long time girlfriend. This is by far, some of the best news that I could have hoped for and am very happy for the two of them. So overall, this weekend gets a A+

Random thoughts:
- Lost is wicked sweet
- New episode of 24 tonight
- Family guy not so good last night
- Downloaded the new collective soul, dave matthews, star wars, backstreet boys albums. I'm sure people will only see backstreet say something stupid.
- Loving this weather

The unsent letter

"If you don't have something nice to say, you shouldn't say it at all"

That's something I've always followed for the most part. That way in turn no one will ever have to say anything bad back to you. And yet for the past two weeks, there have been a tonne of negative comments that I've wanted to make. So, I tried something new today to get out all of the negative things that have been floating around my head as of late. I wrote a letter which summarized everything into one big packet of rage and anger and by doing so I was allowed to let out some of this pent up emotion that has been harbouring. The letter itself will likely never see the light of day and it's probably better to stay that way. I recommend doing the same if you need to get something off your chest or need to vent.

In other news, on the lighter side of zout, the past week has mainly revolved around school and downloading lost episodes. The peril of good television is that it sucks you in and from then on in you're hooked on it like a drug. Thus I forsee a lot of lost this weekend as oppose to necessary studying.

I've had nothing but burgers this week. They're delicious and easy to make. Pretty healthy overall too. Sunday and monday, I made my patented Batista burger which in most circle is known as the Jalapeno burger. Wednesday, McM made me a Sirloin burger which was also fantastic. Thursday saw the rise a new creation which will definately be a hit in the house over the summer and future bbqs. There was leftover Assassin Pate (feta pate) from the family guy get together we had on sunday. In my desire for a new taste on the Batista Burger, I covered it in Assassin Pate. The rest is history and now we have the Evolution Burger.

It's suppose to be an awesome weekend. Sunny and warm all weekend which equals brilliance. Thus don't be suprised to see me out on the Patio muchin on nachos and salsa. Also gonna be some sweet running weather. J-Bun, BPIC and BPICgal are comming over for what will surely be a sweet dinner on saturday! Sunday, mother's day! Don't forget kiddies!

I'm hoping by the weekends end I'll be back to my light comtemplative mode as oppose to serious mode which I've been stuck in more than I would like to have been in recent times.
